Well I'm back at 1005c after using 1007 a couple of weeks. First, starting up and shutting down my system was much slower using 1007. Although I could live with this, I also noticed that, when using Microsoft's SideWinder Gamepad Pro (over USB) this device stopped responding after a short while of gameplay (note that I have also got 2 3Com network cards (3C905B based) which share IRQ with USB, they're in slot 4 and 5). Downgrading the bios back to 1005c solved the startup and shutdown delays as well as the SideWinder problem.
