Patrick Schmid from Tom's Hardware noted: "But there are chipsets (for P-III motherboards) with integrated graphics, with SDRAM or DDR support, RAID, dual CPU motherboards etc."
I like CUSL2 c/w Intel 815E Chipset, but last year I ordered for our company two workstations with VIA-based motherboards from Micro-Star (MS-6153VA, supports Intel Coppermine 128K/256K FPGA), before the i815 was released, and I knew that i815 just coming. Why? We do much graphics, sound implementation and CD-burning. Memory is important for us!
The Intel 815/815E chipset is limited to 512 MB of RAM, maximum.
As Patrick Schmid wrote: "RAM! At current SDRAM prices, 128 MB of additional memory is relatively inexpensive and will ensure that your system runs as fast as possible. Less access to the swap file and better system usability are just two of the direct benefits of an increase in RAM. Also, your system will be ready for Microsoft's next generation operating and office systems."
Our Micro-Star VIA-based motherboards support up to 1 GB (16MX4) of P-133 SDRAM and I found them very stable and reliable. They equipped with diagnostic LED and came with a good manual. Win NT4.0 and Win98 (dual boot) no problem at all. All drivers, all programs installed from first try.
Hope this'll be helpful. But it's up to you to decide what you need and what to choose.

Nick
