hi ! , first time here...
sorry for my poor english ... :(
I m french and i got pb with usb port in a ECS p6bapMe mobo.
chip apollo 133

I have never seen such a pb in all tech forum i met... it seems to be a
particular pb from my own mobo...

i explain... i want to connect with usb, a microsoft force feed back wheel...(usb one...)

i use the version 4.0 of the game controller software.
(the last one...)
all my driver ok...via4in1 ok, bios ok...
for testing, i disconnect ALL the plugs from my mobo...
just usb/harddrive/and cdrom are remaining...
os is new (just reinstall)

the problem is :

the joystick is recongnized but in the test mode, it definitivly slow and
jerk along...when i push any button...i must wait few second before it
works...

same in any king of game...

i test everything...new os, new bios conf, old versions of game controller,
all patch(but not specific one, because my problem is not in list in faq !)
anyway...i think i tried everything...

Still the pb should not com from my mobo ???

i think this is a hardware problem.

The shop which sold me the mobo don't want help me...it still in warranty
whenever...

Could you help me please ?
I can't find more solution...(the wheel have been tested on another
mobo...it's ok.)

I'm very very disapointed.

I hope u shall help me.

au revoir.

I have bad news-your motherboard, it is not a quality product. If you want to replace it, I recomend the Asus CUSL2. If you do not want to replace it, you could buy a PCI USB card.

Suicide is painless...........

Hello,

Sure that my mobo is not the best one...

But it could be worst... i don't hope, adjonction of pci card usb is the last solution....

Is anybody met this kind of problem ?

All test without any periph or card. just graphic one and usb wheel.

My chip is appolo 133/133a but i tested on the same chip in other pc and the wheel was ok. so i expected that this is a hardware problem and not a compability one.

What do u think about ?

(i repeat that the wheel still recongnized in the control panel)

I saw a patch on microsoft's website yesterday for the force feedback something for USB. Try a search on their website. If you can't find it, I'll see if I can remember how I found it.

hi,

thx for ur help.

I see the patch u speak about, i knew him... it concern an old version of the game controller. (old version i tested too, at least...)

As i said, i tried quiet everything, as u i can't think that is a hardware probleme but it's the only solution remaining !

if somebody could try to give me some way to resolve...
