Including the archive, the other section is close to 100,000 messages.

What have we done?

The CPU + CPU Archive actually exceeds 100.000. So we have to post some more

This is the first section to break 60,000 though and it's a misc section. Yet there are more posts in here per day it seems.

Well then it probably doesnt take long before the Other forum contains more posts than the CPU forum.

At this rate they'll have to create another archive soon.

Yes. Perhaps that was why camieabz didnt start the never ending story in the others forum. Too great a risk of it being interrupted by archiving

Yes, but it did take me a few <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=faq¬found=1&code=1" target="_new">attempts</A> though.

Let me add to that total.

The only reason the CPU section has so many posts is because people come in and it is the first section they see, so they post there instead of taking the time to find the appropriate section.

If you read through the CPU section quite a few threads actually start with, "I wasn't sure what section this belonged in so..."

That sig's been done before. You know that right?

Yeah? Well if my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle.

Actually I think its because a lot of dumb people keep arguing about which stupid processor is the better. Its kind of a religion. I hate those discussions. A rarely set my foot there.
That place is reserved for the real flame warriors.

Damn it. I knew it. Perhaps I should just go with some of my favourite quotes from Star Trek then; since Im bound to think of some sig that has been used before :frown:

Hey, You know what? <b>Im an Addict</b>. I cant help it. I just keep coming back to this lovely place

I would have to agree with you on the CPU wars. They are fine once in a while if you are taking an objective look at it, but I haven't seen very many objective arguements yet as far as AMD vs. Intel.

Well, that's allright. I guess its too late to change that now  . Perhaps you can do another (in the other forum) next year?

BTW, I wonder how the story will end  It surely comes around!. (Believe it or not, I actually read the whole shebang, although I never contributed)

I think our first goal is to make more posts in 'Other' forum than in the 'CPU' forum
After that we can go for 200.000 non-hardware, non-software, non-PC related posts

Did you hook up some quick connects?

Yes... I used 2 valves with an interconnect between them. I can draw it for you if you like. It is maybe not very fast in disconnecting but it should work.

sweet. I would like to see it. I drew a picture of my idea for cammie, it was crude and very quick but it got the point across.

Here is a rough drawing of it: <A HREF="http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~svo/winterconnect.jpg" target="_new">http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~svo/winterconnect.jpg</A>

I didn't draw the inside of the valves and the screw-thread... but all parts are connected that way. I used some very thin plastic tape to make it leak-proof.

Wasn't there a way you could have gotten by without using two valves ?

something to do with shutting one valve off and traping the water inbetween.

How would you do that if you have to disconnect the pipes on two points (in and out)?
