driver on call of duty 4

i click on multiplayer cod4 and a box comes up to switch to safe mode. i click yes and it says i need the latest hardrive but which one do i need?

I think you mean driver, not hard drive. What are your system specifications?

very odd that. you should start the game from the multiplayer icon, also to play online you will need to patch the game with all available patches.
it is telling you to switch to safe mode because your config file is corrupted. you will need to delete it....
