I thought I would share the specs of the new computer system my father-in-law and I are building. He can get a 3-year interest free loan for up to $5000 from his work to buy a computer, and he alot of CAD software, so we kind of went all out. Tell me what you think.

All of these items we have already received but we're still waiting for the K7 Master w/ SCSI to become available. The total cost so far is about $2700, but keep in mind, that's a $850 video card.
One other thing, we just have the generic cooler that we bought from Thompson Computer Warehouse (they only warranty the Athlon 1333 if you buy their $9 cooler with it). We had thought about getting the Swiftech MC462, but I am pretty unsure about all that noise. The Noise Control Silverado would be great but besides being almost $70 to start out with, I can only find it at noisecontrol.de and they charge $22 to ship it overseas.
Anyway. Any thoughts are welcome.
