Hi there

I have an "old" aopen mobo (ax59pro) with an AMD K6-2 300.
And I was wondering if that mobo could handle High Speed AMD processors like Thunderbird (above 1GHz)?
Would'nt it be better to buy me also e.g. an AsusA7V because it has a newer chipset,... . If this is so, please give me some advancements of newer mobo's over the old ones.

tnx

Antek

Nope, if it has a K6-2 it is Socket 7 which no can't take Thunderbird's or Duron's. Get Asus A7V133 it is the best SDRAM motherboard.
