I was pruning in the reg the other day and I noticed all these porn enteries. I mean a lot of em! Now I won't say that I "never" smut surf. But its not at the top of the list of things to do. When I asked some other ppl abou it, they all seemed shocked. You know how it goes. No one ever goes to those sites or stores, but its a billion dollar a yr industry. I figure me and about ten other ppl spend a few million a yr at it. Or, some folks could be lieing :-)
anyway, at : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains
I found all the threads. So I got to wondering, since believe it or not, I had never seen any of these site, 900 dialers etc,,,
I checked on my new box, which again, believe it or not, has not seen any porn. NONE. But here they were again. And a lot of the same ones! How is this? And can I del these enteries?
signed, confused and lonely (thats a joke).

If you go to some Non-porn sites that have links to porn sites they might be getting added from their. Not really sure how they do it but anything can happen now adays. You can either delete them directly from the registry or use a program like regseeker to clean them out.

Funny, but I have the same thing ... and I think I know what it's about. Seems that when you use anti-spyware prgms (Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, etc.), they place known "malware" in your HOST file so you won't/can't connect ... so this might be a list of item included in the HOST file ... (maybe windows does somehow)

Find your Host file here: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

DO NOT delete Hosts file!
