The best racing games for pc

Well , Dirt 2 is a good rally type racing game.
Shift 2 and Shift ( NFS ) is also good, but I think it won't run well for your PC, especially when you don't have much of a good card.
F1 2010 as well,

Try the Grid. It's not as demanding compared to Shift

GRID is really good, yes. And suited for your system. It's a good all-round racing game - including touring cars, GT, formulas (not F1) and others.
A really nice and compelling experiance. I remember enjoying the carreer mode very much.

Left 4 Dead - the faster you race through a map the better. Requires precision movement and decision making like any other racing game

GRID is a nice game, although its quite hard.

There's a demo for NFS Shift. That's what made me want to buy the game. Still play it once in a while.

shift 2 looks good but has issues. rfactor is probably the most accurate physics wise.
but overall toca is probably the best racing series on pc. with 3 being the best looking when moded.

if you want arcade racers then grid 1 and 2 are great. followed by most wanted and underground 2. there rest are pretty meh!.

Hmm try grand turismo series , nfs most wanted 2 or the hot pursuit one

the gt series isnt out on pc. unless you count that crappy emulator port, which only sorta works.

I got Burnout Paradise Ultima edition for less that $10 on steam and my kids love it (I'm more of a L4D2 kinda guy). You just have to wait for the sales and you can get a lot of games for cheap on Steam.

Not sure if Trackmania is still free, but it's fun.
