I'm ordering the parts I need to build this system tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if I'm headed for trouble or if it will be stable?

AMD 1.2ghz
Abit K7A 266
512mb Micron PC-133
Hercules Prophet II 32mb GeForce 2
2 WD 40gb 7200rpm drives
Kenwood 72x CD
Creative 5x DVD
Sound Blaster Live
Netgear FA312 net card
Lian-Li PC-20 case with 300w PSU

I can be my own worst enemy when I build these things without asking opinions. Thanks in advance! :)

Oops! Typos.
Abit KT7A motherboard and Lian-Li PC-60 case.

Any thoughts on this? I'm really nervous about ordering the motherboard and processor! Thanks.

My only suggestion is to go with a DDR set-up, now that DDR is cheaper than PC133. You can get PC2100 from Crucial for same or less than the PC133.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

I don't know anything about DDR honestly. Is there a paticular brand or type I should look into? And will I need to set up anything differently? Thanks for the tip! :)

You can just get the PC2100 DDR at Crucial.com. Their price is low and the RAM is very overclockable. You might also have to a bit on motherboard. I saw Asus A7V266 engineer simple in another site. So it should be availiable soon.

You will need a motherboard that supports DDR of course. There several good ones out right now, I would recommend searching for reviews of AMD760 chipset boards and the Via KT266 boards are starting to send out there engineer boards, so there close. I have the K7T266 which is a KT266 board but I wouldn't recommend it just yet for it does have its issues.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

Aw, nuts! I finally decided on a board. Now I have to start all over again! I just want a stable, proven system. Are there any proven DDR motherboards?

Could you give me a link to the site with an Engineering sample? Thanks!

Ok, howabout this... Someone just give me the specs of their system running an Thunderbird 1.2 that actually works and I'll buy the same damn parts! Lol! I'm about to spend a lot of money and I want to be happy when it's done!
