MW: Leveling Up Problem....Mentors ring

Hey all,

I've worn mentors ring +10 int/will for the whole game. My int/will
stats are approaching 100. If I take off Mentor's ring my int/will
stats go down by 10 and turn red. However, when I level my int/will
attribute is still as if I were wearing Mentor's ring. Even if I take
Mentors ring off, throw it in a closet, and train up another level,
the 'in-game' stat is without Mentors ring but the 'leveling' stat is
with Mentors ring.

Is this a bug? Any advice?

Thanks,
ent

Take the ring off, then cast a spell (or visit a shrine) which
*restores your stats*. You will then see what you stats REALLY should
be - anything that's turned red is below the maximum value that it
could really be.

*THEN* try putting on the ring again and seeing what the results are.

Jonathan.

There's a kind of bug where drains on augmented attributes do *not*
recover the way they would otherwise, and it's easy to get such drains
and not notice. It makes bonewalkers far more annoying than they should
be.

I had to Enchant a Belt with Restore all just becasue of this. Still
annoying to have to remove half the apparel, use item and then re-equip
again...

If you can get your characters magic resistance to 100 or higher, your
character will no longer be bothered by curses...

That's my 2¢,
