A quick question about steam.

Hi,
I was wondering if I could gift somebody a Steam game to one of their email addresses but they used steam on a different email account?

Example:
I send my friend L4D2 to one of his emails but he already has Steam but it is registered to a different account, would he still be able to get the game on his Steam account or would he have to make a new one?

as far as i know you gift it to his steam account not his email.
as long as the game hasnt been activated then you can just resend it to the proper account.
