we replaced our motherboard becuase the old motherboard burned when we flashed the bios. we get the new motherboard up and running, and get our new drive in(started it all) and it wants a PCI mass storage controller driver and it's not on the windows CD or in win/sys or anything. where do i get the drivers and what is this thing?

It could be either SCSI controller (Adaptec, Tekram...) or IDE controller (Promise, Sigma...). Its driver should be in your mobo's CD (if you had one). I assume that you still use your old OS and it has the driver installed, then you can browse it in C:\Windows\INF\ (and subdirectory if neccessary) when Windows asks for it.
