Could my rig run the game on max? What is the estimate FPS I will get I have a 22inch monitor (1680x1250) I'm worried because I seen my gpu go up to 72 C! Is 72C good when BENCHMARKING? In Bulletstorm and in I get a max of 64C. But on fear2 I get 50-60 ish C. Will fallout 3 n NV be too powerful for my pc?

My RIG: MSI KA780GX-M
DDR2 KINGSTON 800MHZ 4 GIGS Crucial XMS2
ATI XFX 5770 1GB HD RADEON GDDR5
ALTHON 2 X4 2.9 ) OC @ 3.2 I'm getting a phenom x6 for my BDAY
1TB HDD 5200 RPM western digital
WINDOW 7 64 BIT HOME
ULTRA X BLASTER CASE
120 MM FAN X2 INTAKE AND OUT
POWER UP 550 WATT PSU (getting a 650 for XMAS by Corsair)

And my future upgrade will be a ati 6850 for max performance in the games.

72C is not bad when benchmarking.

Your HD 5770 should be able to run FO3 and FONV fine. See review below:

Of the two games, overall I prefer Fallout 3. New Vegas adds some interesting changes to the game mechanics and some of the quests are pretty interesting.

The following mod combines both Fallout 3 and New Vegas into a single game so that you can use your FONV character in a FO3 game. I'm waiting for it to be further developed before giving it a whirl.

i can run this game on my 8800gts 640mb on max detail settings (1440x900 resolution) with 4xAA and it never drops below 25 fps, average is 30-40fps. I do drop some of the details a little to get a smoother 40+fps normally averaging 50-60. a 5770 is quite a bit more powerful so it should run great.

I also have a HD5770 and it playd FNV maxxed out @1080p with no problem. Its been able to handle any game ive thrown at it but, sumtimes i need to turn AA down/off. 5770s are great cards for the money. I was lucky enough to be able to overclock my card to; core-950mhz mem-1435mhz. it never goes higher than 54deg.celcius, but when im running a game i turn the gpu fan speed up to 60%-70%. I also added a few extra 120mm fans in the case for better airflow/cooling and that seemed to help alot.

Games have just barely started to use 4 cores... barely. Getting a 6 core CPU purely for games is a waste. But it's good for video encoding and complex database processing.

Okay, I may upgrade to like a phenom x4 3.4. So could I play on max? I mayget get a ati 6950 for XMAS 8gb ram new PSU for my Bday (and mw3 preorder) a corsiar 650 watt or a 6850 ICEQ turbo. Or should i get a 5850 black edtion. I want to upgrade my home windows to pro or ult (with upgrade CD) and install one on my mom's. I really love the rig right now on 1680x 1850 on Bullet storm on Max setting I get 30 FPS but it is a pretty powerful game. On fear 2 max setting's 60 fps. I also plan to get elder scrolls 5 in the future.

I can sure say, fallout was very good to play, I always like to see how a story ends with siding for the legion, but it would take too long and I wouldn't get too much out of it. also they had made the fully story of the courier in there without the dlcs it been better.

I have it for ps3 and HATE the ending unlike obilvion you can't contiune your game which just suck's. I love the power armor and the enclaves super expsnive laser / plamsa rifles and then a 100% repiar skill = FTW I got the most easy 10-12K EVER :p .

If you are referring to Fallout 3, then you can continue after the end of the game if you install the 'Broken Steel' DLC.

Additionally, prior to Broken Steel there was a mod that allowed you to continue the game after the main story was completed. It can be found at Fallout3Nexus. I provided a link to the site in my 1st post.
