DIRT 3

I am looking for a quick answer i have 2 steam accounts one is mine and one was my kids. The kids don't use theres anymore so i decided to use it for myself. I pre-purchased DIRT 3 and it says it comes with a free copy of DIRT 2. I already have DIRT 2 and steam say you can give it away but the DIRT 2 is on the other account. What has happened is when i log onto the account with DIRT 3, DIRT 2 icon is PLAY not install, i havent played this game or installed should I be alright if i give this away?

If you bought it for the account that DOESNT have Dirt2, then i believe you cannot send that item to another account.

If it DOES have dirt 2, then you can (technically and legally) gift it to another account.

Its a pity I think I should be able to do anything I want with the game code. Especially if I already own the game.

Oh well I have 2 copies of DIRT 2, and was free with DIRT 3 and DIRT 3 is enjoyable so no loss but I should think first before offering somebody a free game.
