A7A266 + GeForce2..?

Howdy all...

I'm putting together a machine featuring an A7A266 mobo, Athlon 1GHz, 256MB Crucial DDR, and the Asus V7700 GeForce2 GTS 32MB card. I've seen in this forum that there might be problems with this combination, but haven't sussed out a clear way to get the GeForce2 and A7A266 to run without conflict... Has anyone put these two together successfully, and how did you go about it?

I have a A7A266 with an ASUS GeForce2 MX 32MB...it seems to work okay. I'm experiencing a lockup or 2 every day, but I think it's sound-related. I'm still researching.

Are you using nVidia's reference drivers?

You may want to wait till you can get a hold of the new Kyro II card that will be coming out in a few more days instead of buying the more expensive GTS. Check out the benchmarks Tomshardware did.
