I friend of mine was trying to copy a file from CD to the hard drive. The file was a 433 MB powerpoint. I know, she copied and pasted the digital pictures, instead of embeding the pics. Anyways, I need a way to copy the file to my computer to change the powerpoint so the pics are embeded. Is there a way to copy it without explorer.exe crashing? Would doing it in safe mode work? Don't want to have to take the hard drive out of the PC that made it, and put it in my comp.

It's possible that the cd-burning process was faulty in some way. Perhaps she was running some other program(s) during the process. In any case, have her try it again. She could even have Powerpoint create a Presentation CD for her. Make sure she leaves her computer alone during the cd-burning process.
Well, I am going to try that. I am going to try it on my home computers. Dang, one of my three should read it and get it onto a hard drive. Then I can move it around through the LAN. There were a few scrathes on the disc. For some reason, I have seen Windows explorer crash when a large file it copied from CD to hard drive. I have only seen this problem with powerpoints. I am not sure, what the reason is. Thanks.
