Hi guys. I just bought a new modem for my HP Window 98 computer;DIAMOND Supra SST 56k/V.92 modem. Since I bought it in OEM package, there wasn't any instruction manual attach to it, all I've got is its software and the modem. I installed it like I should WITHOUT removing the old modem because this old modem has onboard-sound so if I remove it, I won't able to listen to anything from my computer. I am using AOL but once it detected the new driver(modem), it put me in TCP/IP connection with LAN, not to the original one I got(in modem connection). I don't know why. I couldn't get connected to AOL because of this.
Does this issues concern about system configuration and protocol??
Help! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
