AC'97 Audio

Is it based on hardware or software? Reason I'm asking is I have a choice of getting the A7V133 revison 1.04 without builtin audio or one with revision 1.05, but with AC'97 audio. I honestly dont like the idea of onboard audio because I think it must be suck anyway.

Onboard audio is okay - especially if it is cheap or you are short of slots for a PCI card.

I'm actually using the AC'97 on my A7V133 and CUV4X whilst sorting out a SB Live! issue. Works fine, but it isn't audiophile.

It's based on hardware on the mobo - hence why mobo versions do or don't carry it. Nothing to do with revision either - I have a 1.04 with audio.
