I have bought a friend of mine an IBM 30GB 7200rom (before IBM UW 4GB)
connected as the only device on Pri Master and ran HD Tach!!
value for sequential and burst read werent higher than 14MB but I got the
self HDD on my Gigabyte 6BX and I get the twice performance
I have excluded every possible error!
1. changed channel (doesnt recognize the Disk as slave at all (maybe BUG))
2. changed cable
3. cheched bios (+ flashed newest version)
4. UDMA mode was always on under win2k SP1
5. connected the HDD to my PC and it worked as it should twice as fast!!!
couldnt reach asus, phone lines are always busy, the next time he wont buy
ASUS!!
