Improving the ping

Hello,

Previously, when I used Win XP my ping was much better than it is now with Win 7.
Is there any way to improve the ping ?

Move house closer to where the server is located. Ping is based on physical distance and then available bandwidth.

Unfortunately I don't live in a mobile house. Does improving internet speed connection supposed to help ?

Of course, a better internet connection can surely lower your ping.

optomise your net connection with something like tuneup utils 2011.
run the optimization on the trial version and then uninstall it.
