I have a CT-6BTM Motherboard a CT370PIIIADAPTOR and an 866MHz Pentium FC-PGA Processor(I was expecting a PIII 800MHz). My Memory is PC100.

Can anyone tell me what what my options are with configuring this Processor to run on my Motherboard. Has anybody tried this? The Chaintech Site gives a maximum PIII that can run on this as 850MHz (with the new BIOS). Can I drop to this speed or comfortably run it at 866MHz?

Any advice would be appreciated the complexity of advice is not an issue, any answers welcome?

Cheers

IF your motherboard can support 133MHz bus speeds, then you can run your 866 that way, otherwise it will revert to 650MHz. YOu should be able to get a 133MHz bus in bios or by jumper.
