As far as I know, Portal 2 is the first game to be playable across networks, in this case, PS3 and PC (via steam). It requires you to link your PSN account to your steam account to work.

I dream of being able to decimate console players on fps and extract many many tears, alas it is not to be. Technically it's possible but was looked into and binned.
