Like it says my PC won't shutdown, it restarts fine, but everytime I go to shutdown it goes to a blank screen with LED lights and fans on. When I flip the power bar off then restart it Windows ME doesn't give me the "make sure to shutdown" speech. So windows does shutdown, the mobo just never clicks the power off. It however has shutdown 2 or 3 times fine so that means the wiring is right, right? The other PC's I've built had this problem for a week or two but it went away permenantly after that.

Any ideas?

Did ACPI somehow become disabled in the BIOS?

Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to check...

Might be the old Win 98SE/Me shutdown bug.
The latest device drivers for ALL your hardware will fix this problem if that's what it is.

I have the same problem, sometimes it power off other times it doesn't. I then hit the power switch. I can live with it.
