Hey -

I've installed SP2 so far on the following boards: Iwill KK266 & EPoX 8KTA3+ and it does not take any benchmarks to show a definate improvement in system performance.

What I'm thinking here gaging from my experience as well as the positive comments of others so far, is that the huge performance boost SP2 gives the KT133/KT133A is that Microsoft is FINALLY fully supporting Via chipsets for AMD.

It seems that at least some of the discontent we AMD owners have with Via is misdirected? What do you guys think.

i have A7V133 , have done the MSFT SP2 web update, i have the 1429 drivers, NO SBL sound, but i still get corrupted data when backing up / transferring files (even 1 meg), i also have trouble with a new canon printer hanging after it prints a few pages,have to reboot,outlook express gives me trouble since doing the SP2 update, (it hangs when downloading emails).
hahaha , am i having fun ???....umm NO !

sad to hear its not working for everyone but then I've had my share of problematic Asus boards as well. Not sure if it makes a differance but I uninstalled all hotfixes prior to loading SP2.

I've used SP2 successfully with the following Via drivers so far: 4.25, 4.28, 4.29, 4.31

only prob I still have is the snap-crackle-pop with the Via onboard audio I run on one of my KT133A systems but it's a small price to pay for an ass-kicking system otherwise.
