I have an Asus A7V133 MB with a fan on the northbridge. This fan is the noisiest part of my system, and I would like to replace it. Does anyone know if I can use a large heatsink instead of a fan? If not, how about a link to where I can purchase a quiet fan?

Thanks for the help!

If I recall correctly, most motherboards based on the KT133A only have a heat sink on the Northbridge, anyway. The only reason Asus puts a fan on it, is to make the board better for overclocking.
So, if you aren't that big on overclocking, you could just take the fan off and leave the heatsink on the Northbridge.
