K7 Master GREAT!!!...BUT?!?

The HD performance doesnt seem to be as good as my A7V133, I was getting like 20 000 with my a7v and I only get 17 000 with the Master?!? I can actually hear my drive running slower?!? Maybe Im just freaking out. Also, it seems that multiplier 11 doesnt like to be touched. Anyone else have these kind of probs? Im running BIOS 1.0 if I flash to 1.1 will it fix any of these issues? Thanks in advance.

Also, what should I set my memory timings to? Right now I think Im 8-8-7 and the rest 2.

The K7 Master has the same southbridge as the A7V133 so it could simply be a driver issue. Do you have the same version VIA IDE drivers installed on both? Are both boards running the same OS? Win2k has poor hard disk performance. SP2 is supposed to fix a lot of that though.

Flashing in the newest BIOS is always a good idea.

As for memory timings, I use 8-8-6-2-2-2-2 at 150Mhz FSB. You could probably get more aggressive if your FSB is only at 133Mhz.
