I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad S205 with the following specs:
Screen: 11.6" (1366x768)
CPU/APU: AMD Fusion E-350 (1.60GHz, 1MB)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6310M 512MB
RAM: 3GB DDR3 1066MHz
HDD: 320GB 5400rpm
WiFi: 802.11 B/G/N
The S205 falls into the Netbook class of portables. It's not meant to be a gaming system by any means. However, the AMD E-350 combined with the Radeon HD 6310M is very powerful when compared to Intel Netbooks. So, I have decided to do a review of the system to see what games it can play.
I have already tried MineCraft Beta 1.6.6 and according to FRAPS I see an average of 50-60 FPS. However, when walking, the game lags every 2-5 seconds. I believe the CPU is bottlenecked and can't render the environment.
Here are my settings:
Graphics: Fast
Smooth Lighting: Off
3D: Off
GUI Scale: Large
Performance: Max FPS
View Bobbing: Off
Advanced OpenGL: ON
So, what other games should I use for my review? I believe older games would work best.
