I recently upgraded from Win98 to ME and I have experienced lockups continuosly. The lockups occurred in standby so I disabled power saving mode. I still have lockups at random. What can I do to minimize or eliminate this irritating problem?

windows me is unreally stable when you do a reformate and then a clean a install, form what i've heard.
if you don't you tend to get more lock ups
you also might want to look at geting more ram becuase that might a little bit and pluse it would speed up your system some

when you go back to 98, you will have to format your harddrive since winme's uninstall program doesn't even work correctly. That OS is a virus or a bug. You got jipped...
