Ihave p4 1.4gh,giga-byte mb 384 memory
the system is working fine but if i keep it running more than 3 hours the system trun off and then on like what happend when is disconnected from power and the power came again,ihave changed my power supply= no change,i changed the
mb to intel 850 gb still no change,the system tempature is normal with 3 fan on my system , I updated the bios and the drivers of all the devices on the system ,still no change??
so please can any one help me?? i wonder if this problem with the 850 chipset?? or tempature echo??

What kind of power supplies are you trying? Intel made some new standards for the P4, so you may need a power supply specifically designed for it. I think it's called ATX12V (see Intel's support site for more details).
I think Asus's P4T motherboard will work with a standard ATX, but only up to a certain amount of memory, and then it will have problems as well...

iam using the atx12 power supply
the intel p4 dose not work with the normal power supply!!

Hmm, well the only other thing I can think of would be a heat issue. Possibly after a while of usage, the processor is heating up to the point where it will shutdown, causing the computer to seem like it restarted.
My father has a P4 1.4 and he doesn't have this problem at all, so it's not an issue with the 850 chipset.
Possibly try a better heatsink/fan combo and maybe a more ventilated case that will allow you to add some extra case fans...
