As usuall, I'll take a "wait and see" aproach to this one. If everything works out, I may have an AMD system within the next few months!

Considering the overhyped VIA KT266, and what was actually realized in the early going, I've got to agree with a wait and see attitude.

Yes. I'll support the hype until reality proves otherwise. I was *ALMOST* ready to buy a K7 Master S, until common sense kicked in with the Via southbridge questions.

I keep reading good things about the SiS 735 chipset. I'll probably wait until Tom does a review on it, and go from there.
But if it's true and AMD finally has a fast reliable chipset, then SiS is going to have to seriously ramp up production, because they'll be selling like crazy...

production shouldn't be a problem.
SiS has its own 8" fab

heh, almost all the motherboards with AMD 761 chipset are sold out. I cannot wait to see what happens when a better and more stable chipset hits the market.

Personally, I have ordered everything but video, motherboard, ram, and CPU... Going to wait till the Nvida Crush 12 chipset is reviewed. Then make my choice on motherboard. then comes video, cpu and ram.

Crush 12 seems to be the one that will out perform all the other motherboards concerning games (if you use a geforce type of card).
