Dell Motherboard jumpers

I have a Dell dimension PentiumII 400 that I'd like to upgrade the processor on. I have a PentiumIII 850 available (with a 100mhz FSB), and I wanted to know what (if any) changes need to be made to the motherboard settings before the swap.

That depends on what motherboard is in your dell, think it is intel se440bx-2 but not sure for your setup. Head over to the dell support forum for all the info you need.

Just pop it in. You might want to consider bumping your bios up from A8/A9 to A13, but you should be fine. Go to dell's forum for more info if you need it.
