I had xbox live but my cable came back on and it

I don't have an xbox, but make sure your cable/dsl modem and/or router are functioning properly. A power surge may have caused problems for your hardware. If you are running your ethernet hard wired, the power surge nmay have blown the ethernet connection on the xbox.
