Short and sweet getting an i5 2500k overclocking it to 4ghz, gtx 570, 8gb ram, res of 1920x1080. Would this run on max? if so what fps would i be looking at? OR would it just reach high at a playable fps :)

Thanks in advance.

What do you get on BC2? BF3 will be slightly more demanding than BC2, though it does have higher graphic quality, and therefore should run slightly slower on your system.

I don't own BC2 :p  This upgrade will take my pc from the depths of useless to decent haha :)  I don't really want SLI hassle just a good single card that will perform. I will be playing WoW, BF3 and upcoming titles that interest me. Problem is I thought it'd be worth buying the 570 over the 560ti but not reaching for the 580 because its £120 more than the 570, whereas the 570 is £40 more than the 560ti.

as far as I know there are no listed system requirements listed for BF3 yet... so its all just speculation, but I would guess that a system like that would be able to play the game at mostly max settings.

you can get a 560ti and overclock yourself to 900mhz and it will equal a 570....or you could just buy the Asus OC model of the 560ti that is already OC'd to 900mhz on newegg.....saves you even more money
560ti @900mhz=gtx570

I have the exact same system as OP, and i run bfbc2 at like 60+ fps on max settings. Im figuring in BF3 we will get at least 60 fps on medium/high settings and probably drop down when we max it out. Im not worried, it will still look amazing :D
