Last time I checked Via was making chipsets for Intel processors as well, so how does this equate to a AMD problem? Have you ever heard of ALI, SIS, Nvidia, or for that matter AMD chipsets? And just to be fair, the 686b " bug" as you would call it was not a fault with the via southbridge but the fault of motherboard manufactorers not following specs. And it has been fixed without any loss of performance.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!
