I have a tyan S1837 thunderbolt with a intel 440bx chipset.I would like to upgrade but tyan said that I can only go up to a PIII 600mhz slot 1 processor. And thats not worth sending the money on. I would like to upgrade to a 800mhz or a 850mhz processor, is it possable to run these processor on a converter boards (Slot-1 to Socket 370)that comes with its own voltage regulator, supporting a much wider range of Slot1-motherboards, including the ones that don't support Pentium III's lower voltage requirements. Tyan has bios that can run upto and 850mhz processor for my mobo but only for Rev.G and above only and I have a Rev.D motherboard. Here is the site for the cpu chart http://www.tyan.com/support/html/pentiumii_iii_ppga.html
so any help would be graetly help in my upgrade thanks JP.
