zip100 on 686b

I you have had trouble getting an Iomega Zip 100 IDE drive to work on a motherboard that uses the Via VT82C686B southbridge, check my link out. It does not have a solution but it does have a link to Via's support form.

I understand that if you update to the new IDE driver (4in1 , I believe we are up to 31 or 32), it will resolve the issue.

I heard of the Zip running extremely SLOWWWWW without this patch.

the following patch fixed the problem for me on the msi6330 and the asusA7M. note the compressed .exe inside the .zip is one of those that doesn't let you pick the dest dir so put it there first. when you run setup it will give you two installation options. the first one did nothing for me but undoing that and installing the "miniport" option was the fix.
