Mobo for Win2k server

I'm building a Win2k or Small Business Server 2000 server to serve as an all-in-one home/business machine. I'll be running WWW/Exchange/whatever.

I'd like to start with a solid core (scalable mobo), keeping the systems under $1000 and expanding as necessary.

Any suggested specs for mobo, processor, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks

What do expect this server to scale to? If it's a web server what kind of content/traffic do you expect?

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.

I guess I should be a little more specific.

I'm running my own consulting business out of my home. I will use this server for general server needs, as well as running my own mail server. I would initially serve my own WWW content until (if/when) it becomes clear that I need to upgrade or outsource.

So I guess I just need a modest server board that won't cost me an arm and a leg, but still allow me room to expand.

Not sure if that was specific enough to be helpful. Feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Okay one last question. Servers are expensive equipment, so you could build one for 1k or so but it wont scale. For a window's type machine I recommend spending around the 2k area. Is that out of the question?

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.

I wouldn't say its out of the question. How does that 2k break down?
