My wife's office surplus out this unit and my wife brought it home. It was
working up until they replaced it on June 19 of this year, now when I hook
it up it will not even post. All of the led's come on but no video output
and no beeps. I removed the heat sink from the processor and it doesn't even
get warm, Celeron 866. I have tried another power supply but that didn't
help. Since this is the first HP I have dealt with I could use any advice
anyone has on what could be the problem. With the system on the Grn Pwr led,
Amber Locked led are on steady, the HDD led comes on then goes out as do the
FDD led and the CD-R. I have tried disconnecting the FDD, CD, and the HDD
but still no go. What does the switch on the inside that is operated by the
side cover do? Sorry this is so long and thanks
