Hi Gents.

I greatly appreciate any help for all you hardcore PC fixer uppers :)

Intel Core Duo E6850 @ 3.00GHz

4GB RAM
GeForce GT 8800 SLI (Alpha Dog Editions)

Steps:
Complete reinstall of Vista 32bit
Possible Trojan Horse but I am just not for sure
Software installed prior was just Windows Explorer 9

Problems:

I am having a separate issue with games that ran fine before.

1) Starcraft 2

After about 20 mins of playtime I get a message
"Video settings were reduced due to low VRAM"

This happens twice, each time decreasing my settings from high to medium then finally to low.

2) Dawn of War 2 Retribution

From the start, default settings are lower than before prior to reinstall of Vista.
I try to adjust the settings to a higher as usual.
Says- Performance may be hindered with these settings, go forward?
The game reboots but no new settings; they stay the same.

3) Team Fortress 2

I keep getting kicked out after a map is done / just prior to loading of new map.

I get several messages / errors

A) Failed to load the launcher DLL: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

B) Can't load lump 53, allocation of 12276033 bytes failed!!!

C) Failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer

"I am having a separate issue with games that ran fine before"

Ran fine before you did what, exactly?

Are your video drivers up to date? This could be due to a buggy SLI driver.
