help with generals zero hour direct x

I receive a direct x failure when trying to launch the game. Screen states I need version 8.1 or later and will not execute. I have 9.03 installed. Help please.

Have you tried uninstalling your graphics drivers and direct x and then reinstalling the latest drivers for you GPU?

Is this a legitmate copy of the game or is it pirated?

Orginal copy...got it running, thanks for your help.
