Diablo 2 windows 7

Hello,
i was playing d2 last night but now today every time i try to play it tells me to verify that my disc in in the cd rom. i can eject the disc and put it back in and the autorun comes up but when i try to play it still tells me to verify that the disc is in. does anyone know how to fix this problem
