I just recently purchased a system with the following specs:
4gb ram
intel i5-2300 cpu@ 2.8ghz
xfx hd 6850 (radeon)
64 bit os

It worked spectacular for about a week. It could run any game on high end settings with the frame rate just shy of 100fps. Last night I switched from my Dell E773c VGA display (DVI input) to an Insignia flat screen HDTV (HDMI input) and it starts having a stutter. I thought that it may have been some delay because of the hd settings so i switched back to my dell display and the stutter persists. Have I disrupted something between switching displays? Any ideas?

sounds like a driver issue.
try going to the ccc panel then down to performance and turn off amd overdrive.

if that stops it then try repairing your drivers or download the latest 1s if you dont have em.

you'll have to open up the ati control panel and look for display options. i think there's an "auto find" or something. if not do it manually. the first one is a regular pc monitor.... different resolution, different refresh rate........ you'll have to make it properly see your tv with the right res/refresh rate....

It automatically changed the settings in the catalyst control panel from hdtv to vga display and changed the resolution to the recommended res.

As far as the overdrive it is locked to the recommended settings, which are quite low. But I suppose that could be it

I was playing witcher 2 on ultra settings and it ran perfect for a long time. It doesn't take up hardly any cpu usage and it runs cool.
