ECS K7VZA + Duron 900?

I'm trying to build a K7VZA + Duron 900 system. When I turn it on, I see the BIOS ID and the processor identification (correctly identified), then the screen goes blank and I can't get anything else.

The ECS website says the K7VZA supports Duron up to 850mhz. Does this motherboard have a 850mhz limit for Duron processors, or can I get past this without buying new hardware?

Thanks.

If they have a later bios on their web site, try updating the bios on your mobo.

It don't come easy.......not always.

Thanks for the response. After much tinkering last night, I finally got the computer to boot. The problem was that I was trying to use an old PCI video card. As soon as I put in an AGP video card, it booted up fine.

It is nice to know that you had cleared it but nicest still when you put up what's the problem really is. Guess you felt thrilled to clear the fault that has been bogging you, get yourself a cola.
