I get this error on boot every time. I recently reinstalled windows xp pro and re-wired my system.

Shows mac address then searches for DHCP it seems before coming up with error. Slow Boot too.

Asks for System disk after error, so I enter the windows xp pro system disk and it boots fine. Any way of fixing this slow boot process and booting system without cd?

any help is appreciated.

Go into BIOS and disable Boot to Network.. Also known as PXE.. It might be listed under Boot Order in your Bios.. or it'll be right there.. standard boot order is: Floppy, Hard Drive, CD-Rom, Network.. you could just set CD-ROM, Hard Drive, A:, Network.
