Unable to reinstall Sims 2 expansion on external Hard Drive

Hello,

I'm trying to reinstall all my sims 2 expansions plus original game onto my new external drive. The Sims 2 and The Sims University installed fine but I cannot get Teen Style or Family Stuff to work. After I pick the location it automatically asks me if I want to quit.

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

tried patches or something ?
Also have you tried reinstalling the game again ? Does it work normally on your pc's hard drive ?
