bios setting

On my a7v133 theres a bios setting fm enable and in the manual is says its for fm modulation. The only fm modulation I'm familiar with is the frequecy modulation we all receive radio stations on. Could someone explain what sort of fm modulation this setting applies to?

I'm not an expert in this area, but basically there's something called an FM-synthesis chipset which somehow has something to do with MIDI (which is done through software). So it really has nothing to do with FM radio.

Ham-fisted explanation, maybe someone else can clean it up a bit.
