I have Panda Platinum Internet Security which has been pretty good at keeping my system clean but when I first got it my system booted real quick (< 1 minute), now it takes a good 2-3 minutes until the panda icon appears in the system tray which is really frustrating.
Anybody got any ideas about how to speed up the Panda??

It's not panda, it's whatever is starting up with your computer.
Go to Run - type: MSCONFIG and hit OK. Look under startup. Chances are you have a bunch of crap that loads before Panda.
Ex. Quicktime's Agent, you don't need it but it boots up. Get rid of all the stupid things that start up that you don't use.. Adobe Acrobat Assistant. You can disable this stuff in the Preferences/Options of the programs, or uncheck them in the start up.
At this point, you need to figure out all the stuff that is running in the background that needs to load. I highly doubt panda is running slow at all.
