Asus A7A266 HD light problem

The hard drive light isn't working right, anyone else have this problem.

I did. What exactly is the problem? Mine was that it wouldn't turn off, even after shutting down the system. Turned out I had it plugged into the wrong spot.

My brain has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down

did you put the connector in the right place? with teyh right polarity? checkout the user manual of the board to locate the correct connector and its polarity.

In the manual it is written wrong.
on the picture the connection is right.

If you have checked the connections and they are as they should be, I suggest you recheck and follow the manual illustration carefully.
Failing that, take back where you purchased it and get it replaced.
