im getting a new computer and I was wondering if I could play battlefield 3 on it. System specs are amd athlon quad core @ 3.0ghz, 4 gig ram, and a nvidia geforce 6150 card. OR I can get a syx amd athlon quad core @ 2.8 ghz, 4 gig ram, and a radeon 6850 video card. On good settings.

Thanks, this is awful though i wanted a good gaming PC for the price but if its not one thing its the other. if the cpu is good its the video card. grrr. frustrating.

i help you out just a little. i think that your cpu might be too little for this game. it will prolly be quad core optimized since bfbc2 was but since you bought a lower end hexacore you might suffer since the physics engine is cpu based and 2.8 is a relatively low base clock speed especially on bad architecture in todays world.

also your gpu is a medium ranged gpu.

happy?
of course this is all speculation because the game is not even OUT.
